World Down Syndrome Day, Prayer requests

I told my husband that today is World Down Syndrome day.  He asked what we were supposed to do on this day...I said I didn't know...hee hee.
I don't know if you know this, but our daughter has DS.  If you know of someone with DS maybe you could bless their day today with a small gift, start with prayer and ask the Lord, He will show you.  I don't know any in my immediate realm of influence, except on Monday nights, but that is the only time I see that family.
I have three prayer requests:
1.  Please pray for some friends traveling home from Russia with their newly adopted daughter this Saturday.  She is one and it is a 16 hour trip on an airplane.
2.  Our other friends are waiting for travel dates to go get their adopted son. This is a very hard wait as he is in a dire situation and has been most of his life.
3.  That our adoption process can move to the next step.  Our SW said that she will finish our Home study right away.  SHE IS SO SWEET (not just because she is taking care of the paperwork, but she is also a believer, and fellow adoptive mother)

Thank you for all your prayers!!

  2. I found your blog and your family has blessed me! I wish I could monetarily donate towards your new adoption! I don't know if you would be interested or not but I am a consultant for Pampered Chef and they do fundraisers. We could set up an "Online" party and Reece's Rainbow would receive a percentage of the sales that are collected to put towards your account. Just wanted to mention it to you as a way of getting more funding. If this is something you might want to do my email address is msnookspc@gmail.com God bless your family and your new addition!
