Our garage sales went GREAT! Day one of garage sale the Lord gave us $900, day two of our sale on the second weekend He gave us $250. The 3rd day which was Monday we made $100 then $130. Let me explain...We were selling small amounts throughout the day. This one person came and I told him he put us over the $100 mark, which was my goal and I was so excited because it was a last minute sale idea. Then at the end of the day this one gentleman came to the sale and he offered to buy the whole lot of stuff. This could be a two-fold blessing, as Rick and I were not looking forward to having to pack it all up and then bringing it to a place that would accept it all. Between the garage sales and other people graciously donating toward our adoption, we were up to $870.00 for the week (remember we already sent $1000 to the adoption agency, from last weeks sale and donations). So the guy asked me if he could buy the whole thing and I told him he could take it all for $130, and I told him my reasoning behind it. He thought about it for a while (about 10 minutes). I figured we were only that far away from sending another thousand to the agency so it was worth a try...and the Lord blessed us in that!!! I love it, now we can send another $1000 to the agency!
I wanted to thank all of you who donated your time with us to be at the garage sale and also those who donated items to sell. God has truly blessed us through you and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
We can't wait to hold our little one in our arms....soon!
BTW~ we are learning another language, so if you think of us in your prayers, please ask our heavenly father to give us grace in that area. Thanks!
