It has been a while...BIG NEWS!!!

You know how you start typing something and you forget to save it or something happens and you push the wrong button...well that just happened to the last ten minutes of me puting my thoughts down on this blog and I lost it all.

So here I go again...
It has been a while since I have updated this post and a few things have happened that I wanted to tell you. (I've pushed the save button twice already, hee hee).

First, the last time I blogged we were waiting for the USCIS to get back to us regarding the evidence or documentation they requested from us.  After a month of waiting I was anxious to know what their answer was and so I called them.  I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was very easy to get a hold a of a human to help me out.  The lady I spoke to spent five minutes saying huh, huh, huh as she looked for our file.  In the mean time I was praying to God that they had not lost our documents, that we had spent a lot of time compiling...months.  All I kept hearing was huh, hmm.  Then finally she found them and the words from her mouth were golden "you are approved, and you should be receiving a letter in the mail in the next week or so".  I was so relieved and thrilled to say the least!

After this news, I spoke to the SW from our adoption agency and she had some news that threw me for a loop.  She said that we should find another region to adopt from since the region we are going to is not very friendly towards adoptions as of late.  This is the second time she has told us this.

BUT GOD...some may mock, as I used to, before meeting my Savior, but God is in charge and he has told us that she is our daughter.  We prayed again (and are in constant prayer on Maiya's behalf) that this is what God wants.  He still said yes!

After confirming again to us that HE wants us to adopt Maiya, we received an email stating that we have been invited to visit her in 12 DAYS!!! Can you believe that, I CAN'T!!

So now we are in a whirl wind to get Visas processed, scarves & warm clothes cleaned, friends to watch our kiddos back home, etc....

1. Please pray for open hearts in Maiya's region (judges, liaisons, lawyers, orphanage directors
2. Please pray for us to raise the money we need pay for all the trip fees, know and unknown
3.  The language barrier!
4.  anything else I have surely missed!

Thank you for the prayers and support!
Rick & Suzanne
